 Re: Timmy...the 240 :) *SR Almost Together!
harness just got finished and is on the way back! yay! bought some power steering washers from nissan, and went to get exhaust manifold bolts and thick washers, but dang! as I expected they were too expensive... haha. the guy said just stack a couple of thin washers and I'll be good for that. Also, anyone know the nut size for the manifold? is it m10x1.25 or m8x1.25? i found 10 online but guy at nissan said 8
Edit* Found it online. They're 10mm. I'm gonna try and find the nuts at lowes or something. I found em at pdm racing, but I think I can get away with my own hardware. I'm just wondering if these nuts advertised are really all that necessary: "Manufacturers use metal stover nuts which are essentially metal lock nuts which slightly "pinch" on two sides to create "drag" on the threads to help keep fasteners from backing off loose."

 Re: Timmy...the 240 :) *SR Almost Together!
ooo ok. with the washers, its ok to use metal locking ones when you're stacking 2 or 3 on top of each other? UPDATE: Just ordered CXRacing 3 row aluminum radiator and silicone hoses off ebay Also ordered the Greddy Oil Filter Relocation Kit! Just need stock injectors and that's it to start the car I believe!

As for nuts and bolts, going to a local hardware store is good enough. IT's holding up a tension bar, header, seat, and exhaust up in Sway with no issues.

sure man! haha. it'll be in the car this weekend, but probably not started as my parts probably won't make it by sunday. However, as soon as they do, I will! You should drop by on Sunday man!

 Re: Timmy...the 240 :) *SR Almost Together!
haha. people keep saying that... it feels like FOREVA to me! hah. I just want to drift so bad! So I called insurance to see if I could add my car back on. The lady was like, Mr. Combs, I need to ask you a couple questions. We have your car flagged as a race car. WHAT?!?!?!?! hahaha. Turns out they flagged it a long time ago when I first blew the motor and was calling about how much it would be to add it to the policy with just low mileage to get it to the track. haha. I regretted it the second I said track. lol. anyways, I talked my way out of it. Saying, ya that was the plan 9 months ago when I blew the motor, but plans have changed and stuff, and I just want it as a weekend car and such. So turns out, think I'm gonna pay another $30 a month to add it to the plan on top of the vert.

Flagged your car as a race car!?! What the hell does that mean? Can they deny you insurance if you race it? Or would you just have to pay an extremely high fee to insure the car?
