LS1 + 240sx Guide

http://tech.240sxone.com/365/how-to-swa ... sx-part-1/

This is what i've been planning on doing for some time and i just found the above guide which is rather comprehensive while i've been at "work" today. Even if you arn't planning on doing the swap yourself it is still really informative and well written so it's a good read regardless. Enjoy!

www.silviav8forums.com has an incredible amount of information on this swap.

Twistedsymphony has a complete writeup of how to wire in a gm engine harness to your nissan harness. And it works! I've used it to do a swap in my buddy's 95 s14. Lots of great info there after you read the OP's post.

Aren't half the GM harnesses different though?

They have different routing and therfore different lengths of wires. The first swap I did, we used a standalone harness from PSI. There's seriously only like 7or 8 wires to connect to s14 harness to get it to run. 12v constant, ign, ground, trans safety wire, and then guages and fuel pump signal.
F-body camaro seems to be the most popular though if you are going to use a factory gm harness.
We started out with a chasebays harness on his because it should have been plug and play but that wasn't the case and the wiring harness was physically over heating with the key in the 'on' position. So that's why we went with the PSI harness. My buddy has since sent his chasebays back and they added some additional wires to help with the overloading but we haven't tried it since. We have one that works good, so why mess with it.
