How bad of an idea is this?

Would there be any risk to bolting in a new radiator support instead of welding it? I imagine I'd lose a bit of rigidity, but is there anything else I'm not considering? It would be nice to be able to just unbolt it and have all the room I'll ever need to work in that engine bay.

Mine is bolt in. Just make sure the nuts are tight.
Sway is like a race horse; if you push it sometimes, it's ok, but if you are hard on it all the time, then it's going to break its ankle and then you will have to shoot it.

I'd make sure to have a strut bar to give back some rigidity. Really, in front of the suspension mounting points, everything else is just there to hold stuff in the car. The core support helps that but It's mainly to keep your rad from falling out of the car.

So yea, not a bad idea, just know that it hurts over all car rigidity a LITTLE BIT. Bolt it down tight so it don't move, doubt you'll notice anything. None of this "I can grab your bumper and make its face dance" shit.
