I wonder how long till FD imposes HP rules?

Postby HerNameIsSway » Fri Jan 03, 2014 12:10 pm

NASCAR Whelen series was at ODS.

It's that then Craftsman Truck Series, then Nationwide Series, then the Sprint Cup Series.
Sway is like a race horse; if you push it sometimes, it's ok, but if you are hard on it all the time, then it's going to break its ankle and then you will have to shoot it.

Trucks aren't very popular. It was always borderline at risk for cancelling the series. They were typically Friday night races while Nationwide was Saturday and Sprint Cup Sunday, usually all at the same tracks. Trucks didn't have as many venues as Nationwide/Sprint Cup and they were also the slowest. I dont know their speeds but Nationwide was like 160 max and Sprint Cup is 200.

I was a diehard nascar fan growing up. Once I got a license and finished high school, I was phasing out due to work, drifting, and mechanicing.

The three series may have different series names now so I could be wrong now. Nationwide Series used To be Busch series and Sprint Cup used to be Nextel Cup.

I don't think you can build a reliable/competitive FD car right now for less than $100k (retail parts/labor).

It seems like almost everybody is running 1000+ horsepower this season. Chris Forsberg is running 1000 and Joon Maeng is running 1125 on his SC LS7 S13.
