Actually I think last year was less than usual. I don't remember. But at about half the price and on a weekend, i expect to fill up fairly quickly.

Also, for tech inspections on convertibles with a roll bars will the size of the tubing be a factor? i.e. 1.5" vs 1.75" diameter?

it's whatever nasa spec is. IIRC it's 1.75 but I don't remember off the top of my head

Tubing size is based on weight. I'm going to guess a miata is probably 1.5 since it weighs less than 2500 pounds. But look it up just to be safe.

I came to same conclusion when I was checking out the 2012 NASA rulebook, but a popular roll bar manufacturer for miatas doesn't list any of their 1.5'' bars as NASA compliant. Still looking into it

I'm going to be out of town :(. I also still haven't fixed my oil leak.
I sold my '91 Turbo, bought a Microtech standalone and picked up another Turbo FC on the cheap!
