I'm still a beginner so I'll be hitting the skidpad Sunday, is it still $20?

Also, how tolerant are the tech inspectors on oil leaks? I'm planning on replacing my oil pan gasket tomorrow, but in the off chance I get rained out if I've got a drip or two when I'm stopped, should I just bring my other car?

As far as safety goes, everyone just needs a helmet right?

$150 to run. $40 skid pad.

Tech will be ok if it's a drip here and there.

Only needed personal safety gear is a snell2005 or above helmet. You are correct.

Don't do the skid pad. that's for babies. You aren't a baby. You're a man!

I'm a baby right now, I want some more practice with my FC, I'd rather not put it in a tire wall yet. After all I'm on the stock 4.3 VLSD, a fresh N/A engine, miata gear swap, and 15" rear wheels.
Maybe next time I'll hit the track.

No no no no no no no. It's not that hard. If you drive within your bounds and don't try something stupid, you will not put it into a wall. It is very much a mental game. Take it slow, go at your own pace and you will not hit a wall. The skid pad is actually harder than the real course is. IMO. Seriously, sign up for the big track. If you sign up, I will personally sit with you until you are comfortable enough to go alone. I promise.

Mr Molotov, find my car in the sig and ride with me before you register. I will convince you to opt for the full course.
Sway is like a race horse; if you push it sometimes, it's ok, but if you are hard on it all the time, then it's going to break its ankle and then you will have to shoot it.

Man, you guys are persistent.
I'm considering it, For $150 I'm guessing you get access to both things?
I'm also letting a friend run my car on the skidpad, I might fuck myself on track time running back and forth.

yes 150 includes the 3 tracks and the skid pad. Your friend still has to pay the 40 for the skid pad though. prices are per driver.

the track is scary at first but if you go slow and work on your skills you will be fine.

Alright, you've convinced me to do the track. I'm taking you up on that instruction for a few runs though Yoshi. I'll be in the loud red FC, licesne plate is "WAT DO".

I hope my oil pan job gets me by, I couldn't get a gasket until Tuesday so I just used a bunch of the toyota oil pan sealant. If it's leaking bad when I get there I'll just have to wait until next time.

Car is packed up, see you all in the morning.
