I have always liked these. Mercedes 190E. They were made back in the late 80s and early 90s, but a good one can still go for 8-10K. This one was automatic, but the exterior, wheels, and slight lowering made it a real beauty.

I had a very similar problem with my 86. I ended up hardwiring the power to headlights, brake lights, running lights, and other stuff. I then mounted cool switches on the center console so I could turn them on and off when I wanted to drive the car. I never had a tach in the car, so I don't know if ...
